Balancing this input with their professional evaluations of community plans already on the table, the Team helped stakeholders determine what types of development will best serve residents' needs.
The ultimate goal was to work towards a comprehensive vision plan for development in Crestdale, including an implementation strategy that cultivates community participation and support.
Each year families and friends of MOPC are invited to large group events like: a church picnic in the park, a fall bazaar, a Christmas party, and a spring graduation reception.
Throughout the summer our entire congregation gathers for dinner, young peoples' catechism instruction, and adult instruction during our summer family nights.
In addition, throughout the spring our families are encouraged to take part in home Bible studies; these Bible studies are an excellent opportunity to dive deeper into the Scriptures even within the intimate setting of a living room.
Men and Women At Matthews OPC we also strive to strengthen the bonds of men among men, and ladies among ladies.
Residents decided to hold a community meeting in the near future to discuss the team’s presentation (linked below) and find ways to move forward with some of the proposed ideas.

Each quarter a number of this group happily attends the PSE Youth retreats, and each year this group sends a delegation to the Biblical Worldview Student Conference at Milligan College in Tennessee.
The college and career group meets each month for a fellowship meal at the pastor's home (age 16 ), and college and career aged persons also meet every other Friday night at members' homes for the cultivation of friendships, prayer, and rich article discussions (age 18 ) The senior fellowship also meets every month for food, fellowship, mutual edification.
Residents were finally able to construct the Tank Town School (Matthews Colored School) through fundraising and foundation support.
